Public Talk - "Compassion and a Successful Life"

Caught-up as we normally are in the busyness of our everyday lives and over the course of dealing with all the many practical necessities that confront us each day, it’s easy to lose sight of a very simple yet fundamental fact about ourselves: we all want to be happy; we all, whether we’ve thought about it or not, want a successful life. In this public talk, Jampa will explore what constitutes a successful life and the role that love and compassion play in bringing it about.

About Jampa Gendun

An American by birth, Jampa was a monk in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition for seventeen years and studied for over fourteen years in India at the Tibetan Library of Works and Archives and the Buddhist School of Dialectics. This was then followed by a year of meditation in various monasteries in Thailand. He has been teaching Buddhism for over twenty years beginning in 1987 - 1995 at Buddha House, where he also served as Tibetan interpreter. He now lives in New South Wales.
