Presents the 2 Year 'Discovering Buddhism' Course

Awakening the limitless potential of your mind, achieving all peace and happiness. This comprehensive, well structured course, steps students through the Path of Mahayana Buddhism over a two year period. The course is divided into modules, with each section lasting between 3-6 sessions.  Each module links to the next however, it is possible to join at any stage.

Study materials are provided and some homework is expected. For students who wish to progress  to become teachers, accreditation upon completion of each modules is given.

The structure of this course will work around the availability of highly experienced FPMT teachers visiting Buddha House this year, combined with facilitation of shorter topics by senior students.

The program thus far is:

'How to Meditate – Basic Meditation techniques' (module 2) presented by senior student Helen Manos Saturday 21st May 9am-4pm 

Learn the difference and purpose of meditation, how to sit properly, how to set up a meditation session, the different types of meditation techniques one may employ, and how to recognize and deal with obstacles to meditation.  Both theory and practice will be covered on the day.

Cost: $50 waged, $40 concession, $30 members (morning and afternoon tea and lunch provided)
