A Dharma Club for Children?

In the past Buddha House has offered a regular program for children called Dharma Club, on and off since its inception depending on interest.  At this time there is no Dharma Club.

I am hoping we might be able to re-commence this program, if there is interest.

My personal experience with Dharma Club is that of my three children, two attended Dharma Club and one did not have that opportunity, because numbers dropped at the time he was young.  I think parents would agree that giving our children the opportunity of gaining some understanding of the Path to Enlightenment and to practice non harm of others and meeting other children in a Buddhist environment would be good.

If you are a parent and would like to involve yourself and your children in Dharma Club, please contact me via the office and I will get in contact with you.

I would like to mention Hilary Marshall who not only helps coordinate the bookshop but also facilitates school groups who visit Buddha House each year.  Hilary was a high school teacher for 28 years and she arranges the talks at Buddha House to match the needs of the students.
