Geshe-la's first 2009 teaching - Sunday 25 Jan, 10.30 am (FREE) Public Talk: Who is Chenrezig?

After having spent two months in India Geshe-la returns to Adelaide on Saturday 24 January (9 am Adelaide Airport). Please come to the airport with a kathga to give Geshe-la a warm welcome.

Geshe-la gives his first teaching of 2009 on Sunday 25 January 10.30 am. This is a public talk titled ‘Who is Chenrezig?’ and will cover the history of Chenrezig, Buddha of compassion and how we can develop the qualities of Chenrezig. He also explains the meaning of the mantra of Chenrezig ‘Om mani padme hum’.

This talk might be especially interesting for those who attended the Chenrezig initiation last week by Choden Rinpoche.

From 27 January Geshe-la continues teaching the regular program with on Tuesday night 7.15 the Bodhisattva’s Way of Life, on Thursday night 7.15 the Lam Rim as part of the Basic Program and on Sunday morning 10.30 Nagarjuna’s Letter to a Friend.
