Great Saturday night out to say a sad farewell to Jampa

Lyndy Abram's home turned into a pizza parlour extraordinaire on Saturday 5th April when Jampa Gendun's students and Buddha House friends gathered to wish him a fond farewell before he leaves us to take up life in Sydney. Well fed with delicious pizzas well prepared by chef and cook Nick Vanzo and Maxine the occasion was a fun filled gathering of new and old students, with a delightful mix of young and old sharing each other's company.

In recognising Jampa's historical and recent contributions to Buddha House students, there were reminiscences, stories and speeches and a heartfelt request for Jampa to return to Buddha House in the future.  In this, his most recent time at Buddha House, Jampa provided us with quality teachings drawing on his vast dharma and scripture knowledge and the practical wisdom that has come from this.

By the time you receive this Jampa will have completed his role in the Buddha House Kangaroo Island Easter retreat in which he will have assisted Geshe-la one more time, Thank you Jampa. We eagerly await your return, either for a short visit or for another period as an esteemed resident teacher.
