Mantra Rolling for De-Tong Ling's Stupa

Saturday 7 February, 1-4 pm at Buddha House.

The construction of DeTong-Ling’s enlightenment stupa on Kangaroo Island is progressing well and has now reached the vase stage. This is the area which contains all the holy objects that you inside the stupa.

These holy objects include dharma texts, tsa tsa’s (small statues of Buddha) and over 30 different types of mantras. The mantra’s have to be prepared in a particular way, i.e. they need to be rolled in batches around a small incense stick and wrapped in yellow cloth.

We would like to prepare at least 1000 of each of the mantras. We need help to roll the mantras, so if you would like to learn a new dharma skill and spend an hour or two in the company of like minded mantra rollers preparing the mantras that will go inside the stupa at DeTong-Ling, please come along and help out.

Please bring scissors for cutting the sheets of mantras.
