Thank you for a Very Successful Open Day!

Tuesday, 22 April 2008 15:28

Thank you to all who helped make the Buddha House Open Day such a success! Special thanks to the Monks from Drati Monastery, who made the event extra special.

It seems word travelled far and wide and many people came along to explore our centre.

From 1pm onwards the Gompa was choc-a-block with visitors, keen to absorb the atmosphere and observe the goings-on. The day was packed full of exciting events and we were lucky enough to receive an impromptu teaching from Geshe-la. The Drati monks set up a stall with many treasures from their monastery. They also explained the significance of the Sand Mandala and then conducted a beautiful ceremony for the dissolution of the Mandala. As expected, the chai was a hit and many enjoyed sipping it over a chat and a tour of the centre.

Everyone is welcome to the Drati Monks Fundraiser Dinner at Port Noarlunga Lifesaving club this Saturday (26th April) evening. Bookings and enquiries can be made by phoning Ann on 8386 3424.
