The Experience of Meeting Great Lamas

Lama Choden Rinpoche is now in Adelaide. The opportunity to meet such beings is incredibly rare, and getting more rare every year. Venerable Jamyang recounts her experiences of recently meeting Lama Choden Rinpoche:

Being in the presence of a human being like Lama Choden Rinpoche is an incredible experience.

Last year Choden Rinpoche also visited Australia, but not Adelaide. In order to receive his teachings I went to Sydney and Brisbane. After the first day being in his presence I noticed a big change in my mind: the chatting had quitened down, my mind felt spacious and I felt calm and centered. I was surprised and delighted that my mind was effected so deeply. Having this experience of being in the presence of Choden Rinpoche I looked very much forward to his visit to Adelaide.

After greeting Rinpoche at the airport in the traditional Tibetan way with a kathga my face wanted to go into a smile that was much bigger than my bones could allow. This blissful feeling stayed for quite a while, and turned into having goose pimpels for more than 10 minutes and my mind going more and more quite.

I feel so lucky that we can teachers like Choden Rinpoche go through the hardship of traveling large distances in order to give us Buddhist teachings. The number of teachers who have lived and have been educated in Tibet are getting smaller and smaller, and one day none of them will be left. We don't know when there will be another chance to meet with a teacher like Choden Rinpoche, and to get a glimpse of their spiritual heritage.

This visit might be a once in a life time event and you don't want to miss it.
