Annual 5 Day Retreat at De-Tong Ling (Kangaroo Island)

The Three Principal Aspects of the Path

October (extra) long weekend: Thursday, September 27 - Tuesday, October 2.

The beautiful Australian bush setting at De Tong Ling offers the perfect retreat space for students really wishing to spend quality time devoting themselves to listening, reflecting and meditating on the Buddha's teachings.

Geshe-la Pema Tsering will teach "The Three Principal Aspects of the Path." This simple yet profound text by Lama Tsong Khapa, explains renunciation, bodhicitta and the pure view of emptiness.

Venerable Thubten Dondrub will compliment Geshe-la's teachings with clear and concise meditations. Venerable Dondrub, a monk of 30 years is highly regarded and is the resident teacher at The Hayagriva Centre in Perth. This combination has proven to be a well rounded and fulfilling retreat experience, a mini Kopan course if you like!

Please note: Although the text is very concise it is beneficial to have some experience of the Lam Rim. We would therefore advise that you take the opportunity to attend some teachings prior to the retreat.

Places are strictly limited as there is only a certain amount of space within the teaching area so please register your interest and ensure your place ASAP.

If you would like to speak to some-one personally who has experienced the retreat please email Jen on This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
