Day of Miracles

To subdue the minds of sentient beings, Shakyamuni Buddha performed many miracles, which culminated on the 15th day after Losar, the Tibetan New Year. On this Day of Miracles the karmic result of any action created is multiplied one hundred million times, as cited by Lama Zopa Rinpoche in the Vinaya text Treasure of Quotations and Logic.

• 10 am Guided meditation
• 2 pm Golden Light Sutra reading
• 6 pm Shakyamuni Buddha Puja - in which we make many offerings and praise the holy deeds Shakyamuni Buddha performed in his previous lives before he attained enlightenment.

Reciting Sutras Reciting Sutras is a very beneficial thing to do, especially on this day when the merit we create is multiplied by so much.

Lama Zopa Rinpoche, urges us to recite the Sutra of Golden Light for these reasons:
