Easter Retreat with Geshe Pema Tsering

The Song of the Four Mindfulnesses Causing a Rain of Powerful Attainments to Fall.

The Song of the Four Mindfulnesses by the Seventh Dalai Lama, Lobsang Kalsang Gyatso, is an extremely concise explanation of practice involving the union of sutra and tantra.

Originally these teachings were given by Manjushri to Tsongkapa and were later versified by the Seventh Dalai Lama into the form of four mindfulnesses:

  • Mindfulness of the teacher who guides us along the path;
  • Mindfulness of the determination to be free and the consequent wish to attain highest awakening for the sake of all sentient beings;
  • Mindfulness of imagining ourselves as a deity qualified by emptiness as the means to simultaneously and quickly accumulating the collections of merit and wisdom;
  • Mindfulness of emptiness coupled with its application to the world of appearances.

During this retreat Geshe Pema Tsering will teach every day from 10.30 am until noon, and there will be  supporting teachings, meditations and discussions with Jampa Gendun and Ven. Jamyang.

Cost: $150 waged, $135 concession, $120 members Registration and full payment must be received in the office by March 17.
Please bring a plate of vegetarian food to share for lunch. Morning and afternoon tea are provided.
