"This life is susceptible to many harms;
It is more impermanent than bubbles blown by the wind.
How amazing that we wake up breathing
After having gone to sleep."

Letter to a Friend, Nagarjuna.

This 4 week course will cover three key principles aspects to living a good life and being prepared for death, incorporating renunciation, great compassion and understanding reality.

These teachings focus on the qualities we need to live peacefully, namely, loving kindness, compassion and wisdom. Dying peacefully requires renunciation, and the same qualities that we needed to live peacefully, loving kindness, compassion and wisdom! Venerable Namgyel will explain in his easy to understand and humorous way of teaching, the Five Powers we can live by throughout our lives and then the Five Powers at the time of death.

When we meditate and think about death, our understanding about the preciousness of life becomes clearer and sharper. We have more energy for life and for helping others.

These teachings can be listened to by anybody, those with or without previous Dharma experience and may be helpful for reducing stress and anxiety; any problems and confusion, in order to live more peacefully and happily. All are welcome.

This program covers the Discovering Buddhism Module 5 - Death & Rebirth.

Facility Fee: $80 waged, $75 concession, $50 members ($25 waged, $20 concession, $15 member per night rate)
