Public Talks - November 5 & 9

If you can attend nothing else, be sure you make it to at least one of Venerable Robina's talks. Her profound wisdom and charismatic, explosive style will definitely embed some dharma in your mind and be a source of inspiration for years to come. Venerable Robina is not an ordinary nun, she is a Super-Nun, and you will not find anyone else like her.

  

Public Talk 1 - Monday 5th November, 7 - 9 pm

"Dealing with stress in a troubled world"

Life gets more and more busy in the modern world. Society demands to accomplish more and better in less time. We seem to have many choices, but lack the wisdom to know what is right. The world is full of war and terror, and we don't know what to do to help.  How can we live a happy, meaningful life within the turmoil of this troubled world?

Date - Monday 5th November, 7 - 9 pm
Venue - Burnside Ball RoomBurnside Ball Room (Burnside Civic Centre at the corner of Greenhill Road and Portrush Road in Tusmore)
Cost - $20

Door open at 6 pm, chai and cake available. After the public talk Ven. Robina will do book signings of 'Dear Lama Zopa', which is edited by her and recently launched. The book is available on the night or at Buddha House bookshop.

Public Talk 2 - Friday 9th November, 7 - 9 pm

"Key to Freedom"

There are no bars worse than the prison of one's own mind. Based on her work with some of the toughest criminals in the USA Ven. Robina explains how we all have the key to freedom from suffering in our own mind. As soon as we know how we can transform the most difficult circumstances into causes for happiness we will experience ultimate freedom, no matter where we are.
