Saka Dawa - Wednesday 18 June |
| On Saka Dawa we will take precepts at 6 am with Geshe Pema Tsering. After this Geshela will give formal refuge, followed by the ceremony of taking or renewing the lay vows. After a cup of tea we will continue with a Guru Puja until around 9 am. If you have any questions about taking refuge you can write to Ven. Jamyang In the evening of Saka Dawa there will be no deity practise or Discovering Buddhism. Instead we will set up many offerings from 6-7 pm, and at 7.15 pm perform the Shakyamuni Buddha Puja in English. After this there will be a special light offering ceremony. Everybody is welcome. |
