Despite the unlimited access to material goods we still experience dissatisfaction and discontentment with the world we live in. We tend to point the finger outside ourselves for what we think has to change.

According to Buddhism the experiences of ourselves and the world come from our own mind. How can we use our mind to make the changes in the world that we would like to see?

How to register - Complete the Registration form and forward deposit of $250 to Buddha House (FPMT) by 22 October 2007. Full amount payable at arrival at Monastery. Places strictly limited.

Accommodation Information

You can choose between staying overnight or not. Preferencial reservations are for those who attend the whole retreat. If there places left we might offer them to those who can only attend 1 or 2 days.

Included in the price is: accommodation, three meals a day, refreshments and course material.

Those who stay overnight will stay in a single or a twin-share room. Rooms will be alocated in order of booking.

Please let us know if you have special dietary requirements, or any medical conditions.

Bring your own sheets. Sheets can be provided for $10 extra, to be paid at arrival. 

Special Deals for Full-Course Particpants

If you come from interstate you can choose to arrive the previous day (Monday November 5).  The retreat centre is open for arrivals from 4 pm. You can book for dinner at night.

If you register for the full retreat the Monday Public Talk is complimentary and free of charge.

Transport for Retreat

Taxi from Adelaide Airport: will cost about $27 and take 20/30 minutes.

Public Bus:
There are public buses from Adelaide airport that go direct to the city. They leave from the one bus stop at the terminal, route numbers are J1, J2, J3. The trip takes 15/20 minutes.

There are several bus routes from the city that will take you to The Monastery. The trip will take about 20 minutes, then there's a walk of about 250 metres.

• Route numbers 861-864; get off at Stop 13 on Glen Osmond Road, the stop closest to the Cross Road corner.
• Route number 146; get off at Stop 20 on Cross Road, the stop before the Wattle Street corner.

Cancellations

Should you be unable to attend, a substitute delegate is welcome at no extra charge.

A charge of 50 % of the registration fee will be made for cancellations received in writing at least 3 weeks prior to the events.

Alternatively, you may choose a credit note for the full value of the registration fee which may be put towards another Buddha House event, which is valid for 12 months. We regret that no cancellations will be accepted within 3 weeks of the events.
