Buddha House is affiliated with the Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition (FPMT).
An active group of students of Buddha House offer their time freely to support the pastoral care of those in need. This group has evolved from the Tibetan Buddhist Spiritual Support for the Dying, which was initiated by Heather Conté several years ago. Initially the group was focused on giving spiritual support to those who are dying, their family and friends.
TBSSD is a newly formed support group with the aim to promote an awareness of the inevitability of death and the need to prepare for it now, and to facilitate the provision of spiritual support at the time of death in accordance with Tibetan Buddhist practices.
