Well already it has been an eventful year for BBH. After taking a good long break over the holiday period our small group has launched itself back into activites under the direction of Sue Devine. We are now alternating Meditation nights with a new study group. The study group is led by Deb Wilson and held at her house where we also share dinner. It has been a great success. We are currently taking an in depth look at the precepts and how they apply in a very real sense to our lives.

We were overjoyed to host Robina Courtin in the Barossa for a public talk on her latest visit. She made quite an impact (as always). We had over a hundred people to the Angaston Town Hall and have had some new faces at our activites as a result of this. A few of us also attended her teachings in the city which inspired and enriched us enormously.

Our only sadness is our latest lesson in impermanence. We will so soon have to say goodbye to our beloved teacher Jampa Gendun. He has been a gentle guiding spirit to us right from our start and we will miss him enormously - both as a teacher and a friend. We are so grateful for the time he has spent with us - for his patience and guidance. We do wish only for his happiness and it does seem that we lose him for good reasons. We have already booked space on his living room floor and he may yet regret the invitation!

However - we are blessed with our teachers and Jamyang will be running “16 Guidelines For a Happy Life” with us in the Barossa from the end of June. We have had so much positive feedback about this course when it was run at Buddha House and we are all looking forward to having it here for the people of the Barossa.
Another highlight for us will hopefully be a visit from our esteemed Geshe Pema Tsering. Details are yet to be finalized but we hope he will bless us with a public talk and a day of his company in May - watch this space!

We would like to thank Lindsay, Jamyang and Lyndy for their continuing support - we couldn't do it without you! - and offer an open invitation to anyone from Buddha House to attend any of our events- we would love to see you!
