delaide will be blessed by a tour of the sacred Buddhist relics that have been offered to the Great Stupa of Universal Compassion that is being built in Bendigo Victoria. The relic collection is one of the most diverse in the world with around 100 relics on display including those of Shakyamuni Buddha, Kasyapa Buddha, 16 Arhants, Shariputra, Maudgalyana, Phra Sivali, His Holiness's 5th and 13th Dalai Lama, Guru Rinpoche, His Holiness 16th Karmapa, Lama Yeshe, Sakya lineage masters, Geshe Lama Konchog, Ribur Rinpoche plus Venerable Thai, Vietnamese and Chinese Masters.

Viewing and venerating these holy objects creates the cause for enlightenment

The Great Stupa Holy Relic Tour Adelaide 2008 will be open daily from April 19 to 27, at Phap Hoa Temple, 20 Butler Avenue, Pennington SA. The tour will commence with a magnificent multi-tradition ceremony on the morning of Saturday April 19. All are most welcome to attend.

This relic tour has already been viewed by tens of thousands in Singapore , Kuala Lumpur, Melbourne, Sydney Auckland, Brisbane and the Gold Coast. In each city it is hoped that the Great Stupa Holy Relic Tour be the cause of harmony and unification between Buddhist groups and all religions. The tour will also be the focus of a dharma festival which will include teachings and chantings from many Buddhist traditions. Geshe Konchok Tsering will provide teachings on both April 19 and 20. Our own Geshe Pema Tsering has also been invited to teach.

10am Opening Ceremony
1.30pm - 3pm teaching with Geshe Konchok Tsering, Spiritual Director of Great Stupa "Buddhist Relics: Why they are revered and how to view them"
3.30pm - 5pm - Ian Green, Director of Great Stupa of Universal Compassion - talking and showing DVD's on creation of the Stupa, and the Jade Buddha Project
Sun 20th
9am - 9pm  to Sat 26th - Viewing
 
Sun 27th
10.30am - 12pm - relics closing ceremony

It would be very helpful if you could say what time on Saturday morning the opening ceremony will be held. "On the morning of Saturday April 19" doesn't really tell us much.

Thanks for picking that up skypilot. Ive edited the article to include the time.
Actually the ceremony starts at 10.30, but they want everyone there by 10 am.
