Greetings to all members and a special welcome to those who are new on our list. Please remember that any queries about the program or BH activities can be clarified by ringing the office staff between 9:30am and 12:30 daily. Our dear Geshe Pema Tsering has returned safely from India. He was warmly welcomed with a morning tea at his home in Highgate. The Heart Sutra

Sunday 14th March at 10:30am Geshe will teach "Nagajuna's Letter to a Friend." This teaching incorporates many aspects of the Lam Rim, the essential core teachings of the Buddhist path. Students have commented how uplifting this teaching feels to them, as Geshe's lightness and clarity opens the door to understanding. Nagajuna, a probing scholar of his time is one of the beacons of Tibetan teachers, and to listen to this text explained by our own Lharampa Geshe is a rare privelege. Those students who have attended Jampa's classes know the power of studying with this profound visiting teacher. Jampa, an American monk of 17 years, studied at the Indian school of Dialectics for 14 of these years. He has taught at various centres including Lama Tsongkhap Institute in Italy, Buddha House and Chenrezig Institute, Queensland. Deity Practices Wednesday 6-7pm - No fee

Request from Geshe-la's attendant, Anthony Sweeney BH Dinner party last Saturday went splendidly well. Thanks to Will, Claudia, Katrin and Jo for their delicious cooking efforts, to Alecca, Jan and Aini for the marathon washing-up afterwards. And a whopping thanks to Kerri and the crew for the professional setting-up of tables that looked lovely. Thanks, you all made it happen. One young diner was overheard to say, "Hey, I could mung out on this stuff again. I don't know who made it but that's a real curry!" Watch this space for future dinner dates.
Needed: a volunteer with some knowledge of Desktop publishing. You don't have to be a super-geek though you will be very welcome if you are: we only require a couple of people with some knowledge and time to create a few interesting flyers!
