Your assistance enables us to:

  • maintain our traditions in the monastic system to bring the message of peace and love to all sentient beings.
  • eases some of the difficulties of living in exiled poverty for the lay Tibetan community in the camps and villages surrounding Sera Monastery
  • enables students at Gyalten Charity school in Tibet to have a better education

"Can you help make life a little easier, less tentative and more secure for a monk in India, praying and studying for your happiness and the happiness of all sentient beings?

"The cost of sponsorship, $10 a month, has not changed in 13 years to keep it within the reach of just about everybody

The scheme currently has over 1070 sponsored Tibetans, each receiving AUS$10.00 per month thanks to the kindness of over 631 sponsors (over half sponsor 2 to 20 people).

Most of the Tibetans living in India are refugees who were born in Tibet but have fled the Chinese Communist government and their regime or torture and genocide. There are now some who are second generation refuges from Tibet.

Gyalten Charity school in Tibet provides free education for the poor rural Tibetan children in the area. The school is financed entirely by donations and is one of the few schools in Tibet which teaches the Tibetan language.

The costs is only Aus$10.00 a month, and the recipients receive the entire $10.00…nothing is kept back for running costs.

Receipts are issued yearly for all payments, and sponsees sign for their contribution; these sheets are sent back to us for checking.

Our books are audited yearly, and sponsors can write to their sponsees.
