Lama Choden Rinpoche is now in Adelaide. The opportunity to meet such beings is incredibly rare, and getting more rare every year. Venerable Jamyang recounts her experiences of recently meeting Lama Choden Rinpoche: "... The number of teachers who have lived and have been educated in Tibet are getting smaller and smaller, and one day none of them will be left. We don't know when there will be another chance to meet with a teacher like Choden Rinpoche, and to get a glimpse of their spiritual heritage."
The Barossa Outreach Group has a break over the holiday period, and will meet early next year to plan the program for 2009. The last 2 modules of Discovering Buddhism continue on the last Sunday of February and March.
Those of you who saw her November ’07 will remember her vibrant presence, her unique way of teaching and her lack of hesitation in describing things as they are. She confronts with sharpness and precision, which can be followed by an enormous compassion, a deep understanding of where we are coming from.

On Christmas Eve we heard that our bid for the Prospect property was not successful. Thank you to everyone who has contributed to the efforts to secure this property. We will enter 2009 with a firm determination to continue our spiritual practices and our fundraising so that we are able to bid more successfully when the next suitable property emerges. All our efforts to date will act as a firm foundation as we continue our search for a new long-term home.
As we enter 2009, Ven Jamyang will hand over the role of Buddha House Spiritual Programs Coordinator (SPC) to Lyndy Abram. Lyndy is not new to the SPC role, having spent 7 years as Buddha House SPC and then 4 years as Buddha House Director in the 1990’s.
