A unique and precious collection of more than 1000 sacred Buddhist relics will be permanently displayed in the Heart Shrine of the completed Maitreya Buddha statue in Kushinagar. Meanwhile, it is the wish of the Spiritual Director of the Maitreya Project, Lama Zopa Rinpoche, that the collection should travel throughout the world to bring the blessings of the relics and the message of loving-kindness to people everywhere.

Popular Buddha House teacher Jampa Gendun returns for a public talk and a weekend of teachings. An American by birth, Jampa was a monk in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition for seventeen years and studied for over fourteen years in India at the Tibetan Library of Works and Archives and the Buddhist School of Dialectics. This was then followed by a year of meditation in various monasteries in Thailand. He has been teaching Buddhism for over twenty years beginning in 1987 - 1995 at Buddha House, where he also served as Tibetan interpreter. He now lives in New South Wales.
The Art of Gentle Revolution

Buddhism is fundamentally about changing ourselves, and our world, for the better. But change can be difficult, at times even painful. How we go about it is as important as what it is we are trying to change. In his public talk, Jampa will explore the way we can apply a wise and gentle approach to the necessary art of change.
Cost: $20 waged, $18 concession, $15 member
"The Four Immeasurables" Saturday 11th Feb 10am – 4pm, Sunday 12 Feb 10.30-4.30
In this weekend workshop, Jampa will lead you through The Four Immeasurables: the heart qualities of loving-kindness, compassion, empathetic joy and equanimity—what they are and how to develop them. No matter what our religion or whether we have any religion at all, cultivating these four positive emotions is effective for everyone seeking personal happiness and world peace.

Make the most of a 4 day holiday period! There will be a combination of meditations, teachings by Venerable Gyatso in the morning and afternoon, discussion groups and periods of silence. Accommodation is available in single and double rooms for 25 people only. Booking early is recommended. Day students will be able to come each day from 8.30am-5pm , however booking in for the full 4 days is required to make the most of this special teaching opportunity.
